Hiking at Mt. Kulis

The only thing we planned for was to go somewhere that Saturday. Two of us were not aware that there’d be a short hike! My lungs didn’t know. If it had a mouth, it went screaming already! Here’s to more unplanned exercise, nature walks and mini (mis)adventures with friends!

But First, a Redirect

The original plan was to visit Treasure Mountain to witness the sea of clouds. So first of.. we started late HAHA. That meant no sea of clouds. We just didn't know there would be no Treasure Mountain either HAHA. The guard informed us that the place was suspended. We checked Facebook because we couldn't believe our luck 🍀 Apparently, it was closed down two years ago HAHA The guard suggested Mt. Kulis, which was just nearby.

Let's Start Again

We picked a package. We thought we could skip the "Noah's Ark", which was more pricey because it required a tourist guide. Annd, it was a very good choice considering we all forgot to bring cash. Cere had to shell out the cash she had which was supposed to be for her bills. 😅

We got candies, a couple of water bottles, and we were off to explore the mountain.

The group before us took a very long time with their picture-taking. We almost produced a music album.

There was this "heart" thing where people gathered to take more pictures. We skipped that. We also saw the "ark" from here. It was like a boat on top of limestone.

JV brought his tripod. We were going to take more photos from his phone but it overheated. 🥵 Cere's phone had low battery. 😵 Job tried to find my phone in my bag. He gave up almost immediately. 😵‍💫 I found it, and gave it to the other group's tourist guide. He volunteered to take our group pic. The phone was bottom-up, and used 0.5. We all got long legs. Like a spider's legs.
