Wildflowers

A sedan was not made for trekking uphill in that area. I felt the big vehicles judge us. Ah but we survived 🙏

I enjoyed discovering wildflowers and weeds! So many unique-looking plants. Most of them had long stems that I'm not used to seeing in Pasig/Mandaluyong (at least in the more commercial/business areas). JK. After this trip, I saw 1 or 2 of them around Manda.

I tried searching online for their names, but I am not sure if I got them right. 😅

Pennisetum polystachion (mission grass or fountain grass). Looks like a fox's tail 🦊, common in roadsides, hills, and mountainous trails

Stachytarpheta urticifolia (nettleleaf velvetberry). Popular with butterflies and bees

Canna Lily. "Bandera Española" for those that are red and yellow

Impatiens balsamina (garden balsam / rose balsam). "Touch-me-not"

Cosmos sulphureus (sulfur cosmos), one of the official birth flowers for October

I felt like Alba for a while, except I was taking pictures of plants, not animals. Next time we go on a nature trip, I'd like to spend more time looking for different plants! I forgive myself for this trip, I mean.. I could barely breath properly.
