Starting a Personal Library
I missed reading physical books, like the ones we used to have in our childhood home. Back then, Mama bought us collections of textbooks, history and science book sets, encyclopedias, magazines, and comic books. But they were all donated or gifted away when we moved to a new house.

We moved again in 2024. I was inspired to get back to reading regularly, and fill our new place with books. π
Life, in general
Decide on the type of person you want to be.
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- When Things Don't Go Your Way by Haemin Sunim
- The Universe of Us by Lang Leav (Lent to me by Ariel, he chose that out of all his books. I don't know what he was thinking, but thank you π)
Art and adventures
I finished reading canon Sherlock years back, but I gave away my old copies. Got this because it looked classy. I was so happy (and relieved lol) when I opened it and the compilation was complete. With illustrations too! π₯³
- The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes And Other Stories by Arthur Conan Doyle
- Murdle Volume 1 by G.T. Karber (puzzles! for practicing logic π΅οΈββοΈ)
- How to Draw Almost Everything: An Illustrated Sourcebook by Chika Miyata
Unfinished business
Books I have not completed reading or haven't started with yet. 2025 for them βΊοΈ
- You Can Wind Down from Time to Time by Dan Kim (gift from my friend, Jachy β€οΈ)
- The Book of Ichigo Ichie by Francesc Miralles and Hector Garcia
- The World According to Vincent Van Gogh by Nienke Bakker, Ann Blokland and Esther Darley
- Green Lights by Matthew McConaughey

Tabs, sticky notes and discount cards
I was thinking of writing on the pages directly, but I also wanted to keep the pages clean. Those translucent sticky notes made both possible. π Use non-smudging pen to be sure the ink doesn't transfer to the paper.
No search functionality for physical books! The tabs helped me keep track of important pages. Don't let the tabs hang too much on the side, they get crumpled especially when the book is paperback and no cover protects the sides.
I am pleased with my reading list status. It's a good start. Most importantly, I finally bought a FullyBooked discount card. π―
