I tore one page from the Aeppol coloring book, brought out my watercolor tubes, and started painting. It didn't matter that my book is now missing a page, including the reference colors for the next lineart.

The painted page warped a bit so I placed it under some boxes. After a few hours, I cut it into big pieces and pasted the forest girl part on the cotton rag paper. This became the main embellishment for my letter.

Coloring Diary

• This was a pretty quick painting, with just a few colors used: red, green and brown. Still Mijello Mission Gold
• The CHOSCH gold acrylic marker was just something I picked up in National Bookstore while I was waiting in line 🤣 It did not bleed through the cotton rag.

HAATH Papers

I found this local supplier of loose cotton rags. I have been looking at their page for a few years now, but I only bought their products in time for Mama's birthday card!

The edges were more feathered than I expected, but they were pretty. I could also write on the paper easily even with the uneven surface. No bleeding from the pigment pen.

I did not try painting directly on it. Most likely, it would behave the same way as my old Khadi sketchbooks. I have a few more so I can try next time.
