Coloring Diary

I used my old Mijello Mission Gold watercolors. I honestly do not remember if I used a bit of colored pencils on some parts, but this is predominantly watercolors.

The costs of being lazy. I got lazy here, not mixing the paints on the ceramic. I dipped into two or three wells and tried to blend the paints a bit before applying. However, that just did not work! It was like "touch move" here. ♟️ The paint could not be lifted off once it touched the glossy paper. If I added more water to dilute the intensity of the colors, I risked not getting all the extra water out of the brush before applying on the paper. Most of the time I dabbed on tissue paper, but that was clearly not enough. The paper warped quite a bit and some of the parts bled through the back. I used a cardboard to make sure it did not bleed right through the other pages.

I used my new Kolinsky sable brush for this. It's bigger than my first one. After a few tries on other pages, I thought I nailed down the proper technique for this brush, on this paper. Hehe. My thoughts did not actualize properly. 🥲
