Celestial: A Jomike Tejido Exhibit

Jomike Tejido is a Filipino artist who makes contemporary art and illustrates children's books. Last week, I had the chance to check out his 25th solo exhibition at the Art Lounge Manila, The Podium.

This is Celestial, a collection of brightly-colored paintings expressing gratitude and appreciation for life.

I thought there were beads used on the paintings. I inspected closely just to be sure but there were none. The "shadows" were carefully positioned lines that made some parts seem to float or stick out when looking from a side angle.

There were more artworks in the exhibit. All of them radiated positivity. ♥️
