HAKID

Hakid comes from Aklanon, and it means "to serve".

HAKID is a coffee and cocktails bar in Pasig. Met up with former team mates for the usual after-lunch coffee break!

The barista offered the menu and explained some of the items, like the difference between horchata and dirty horchata. She also gave some options that were not in the menu, like iced mocha. Of course, I ordered that one. JV ordered iced americano, as usual. Sometimes I wonder why we still look at the menu 🙂‍↔️

Iced mocha. Quite unique. It was not as chocolatey as the usual mocha I would get from other coffee shops. It had a strong seasalt flavor with a burnt caramel taste. BUT. I had a cold so HAHA Anyway, I still enjoyed it though! The dark chocolate bar was complimentary.

There were games available as well as stickers and paintings for sale. They also allowed hosting of events, workshops, and photoshoots. Wished I brought along a book or my iPad to hang out for a while.

It felt awkward taking pictures inside the coffee shop even if the owners said that it was ok. 😅 I used to do these activities with friends who were also into photography. It didn't help that the best spot to take pictures from was occupied HAHA Oh well. At least I was able to shoot again. Fun exercise for my camera 📸 Hopefully this would be the start of new street adventures. 💪
