3-in-1 Retro Camera Bricks Set

This is Retro Camera 3-in-1 from LEGO Creator series building blocks set. Although that's the official name, this set also builds a retro video camera and a retro TV. 👌

LEGOs, specifically, were a huge part of my childhood. Back then, me and my cousins used our imagination to create whatever we wanted. Some of our bricks were from the vintage Shell x LEGO racing sets. 🏎️

Late last year, I started building again. Not necessarily LEGOs, but brick sets with patterns like the Sunflower and the General Store. I did it mostly to relax, except for that time I made a bet with a friend that I could finish a set when I got home after work. I'm not the type to segregate by color or whatever. I just open the bags, and hope the table catches all of the pieces. That particular set had incredibly small pieces. Stresss 😣

Enough of that. This set was one of the farewell gifts from team mates. 🎁

Retro Camera

I kept forgetting the exact brand model of my Sony camera. I should be able to find it somewhere on the rim of the lens, but it wasn't there. It took me a couple more minutes before I realized that I was holding the toy camera 🤣 Yes, I didn't notice the weight.

Retro Videocam

Before I started building, I was not that interested in the videocam version. I like it now. I think this is the version that uses the least number of pieces.

Retro TV

So this one's a TV, complete with antenna. I mistook it for a game console 🤣

You can fiddle with the channel switcher and the antenna

I didn't have a craft tweezer so it was hard to put the stickers right on the center of the glass pieces. Super sticky

You cannot build all three toys at the same time. I need to keep all the instruction manuals because I will never remember how to build each retro toy. 😅

The beauty of the creator series is in how they designed reusable pieces to be able to build three different toys. I wondered about their design decisions, like using multiple thin and flat bricks versus just one fat brick which will just have the same effect. But maybe because the flat ones will not be combined in another pattern. Things like that.

The instructions are true to color. Although, unlike the Keepley sets, there's no distinction on which packet you will use for certain steps. The stickers are also harder to reposition. 😅
